Principal
Dr. Shwkar Abousweilem has been a Principal in District 111 for the past eight years at both Maddock and Burbank Schools.  Additionally, she has served as the District’s EL Program Coordinator for several years.  Dr. Abousweilem taught EL in District 111 for eight years prior to taking on an administrative role.  She received her Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from Argosy University and holds a Master’s Degree in English Literature from Chicago State University.  She is excited about leading the team at Liberty Junior High School and looks forward to meeting the students and families.

Join us for our Annual Multicultural Night on September 18 at 5:30 pm! We’re kicking off the school year with a vibrant celebration of our diverse community. This year’s event is happening a little earlier - and what better way to begin than by honoring the rich cultures that make our district so special? Enjoy traditional dances, taste delicious cultural foods, participate in our Multicultural Parade, wear your traditional attire and bring your cultural pride as we come together to celebrate unity in diversity. 2025-2026 Bus Routes

AM and PM Bus Routes have been posted for our Elementary Schools and for Liberty Junior High School. Eligible students should have also received route information via email. A student is eligible for transportation if the student resides 1.5 miles or more from his/her assigned school or must cross a street determined to be a hazardous crossing.
